Unsuitable for cages. However, if you confine the bird in a cage, make sure the bird gets its daily jaunt. We strongly recommend an aviary with shelter, which must be kept warm during winter times. As food you can serve mixed grains, sunflower nuclei, sorghum or the like, also germed. Furthermore you can feed pieces of carrots, fruits and vegetables, greenstuff and 2-3 prawns per couple. On top of the food you can add multi-vitamins juice and mineral supplements. Put also enough new twigs for nibbling into the aviary.
