Our parakeets and parrots are held in aviaries with cover.

• In general, the outside aviary measures 2 - 7.5 metres in length and approx. 2.20 metres in higth.

• In general, the cover is not heated (but for Guaruba guarouba) but should be kept frost-free.
  However, like in our case, a solid building in outside temperatures up to -20 degrees Celsius is sufficient.

• Nevertheless, as a rough guide, the aviary's length should be at least eight times as long as the bird's length.
